Care
Your extensions are a luxury investment. To ensure they remain seamless, healthy, and beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend following these professional care guidelines.
The Daily Essentials
- Brushing:
Use a professional extension brush daily. Always start from the ends and work your way up to the roots, holding the bonds or wefts with your other hand to prevent tension. - Sleep Prep:
Never sleep with wet hair. Before bed, secure your hair in a loose plait to prevent tangling and unnecessary friction while you sleep. - Initial Styling:
For the first week after installation, stick to low ponytails or low hairstyles to reduce stress on the new attachment points.
Washing & Conditioning
- The Right Products:
Avoid any shampoos or conditioners containing protein, sulphates, keratin, or high alcohol content, as these can compromise the bonds and the hair quality. - Technique:
Focus shampoo on your natural scalp. Allow the water to naturally cleanse the extensions as it rinses through the lengths. - Placement:
Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only. Ensure all conditioning products are kept well away from the roots and attachment areas. - Tape Care:
If you have tape extensions, do not wash your hair for 48–72 hours after application to allow the adhesive to bond properly.
Drying & Styling
- Drying:
Always thoroughly dry the root and attachment areas using a hairdryer on a low to medium heat setting. - Colouring:
Do not bleach your extensions. If you need to adjust the shade, use only a semi-permanent colour to darken or tone the hair. - Professional Maintenance:
To protect your natural hair and keep your look seamless, professional maintenance appointments are required every 6–8 weeks.
Swimming & Lifestyle
- Water Exposure:
When swimming, wear your hair in a loose plait—avoid buns or top knots which can cause severe matting. - Post-Swim:
Always rinse your hair immediately with fresh water after exposure to chlorine or salt water to remove any chemical residue.
